When our body, mind and spirit are baanced we experience good health. However we sometimes get caught in a crises that cause us to focus in one area more than others. Then we can get out of balance.
Emotions are a way our bodies communicate with us. When you feel tired, but push yourself to keep going, your body may respond by being grumpy. If a relationship with a relative is stressful, your body may feel nervous before meeting them. Of course it works the other way too and the body will express happiness and joy in cheerful situations.
If we don’t listen to our bodies emotional signals when they are tired or stressed then a stronger message is required. The issue may then become expressed as illness or disease. The first step to regaining your equilibrium involves slowing down, eating healthy food and getting more rest. Once you have nurtured yourself, you can begin to listen to what your body is telling you by being sick.
For instance, digestive problems can indicate that you are having trouble “digesting” or accepting something. While inflammation in the joints may mean that you are judging yourself and others too harshly. Your back ache may be caused by a sense of having no emotional and financial support and a sore throat can indicate that you are not speaking up about something of concern.
At the heart of each illness is a core concept or way of thinking that does not serve you. Over time it has become solidified in your body. Luckily, you have the knowledge of your thoughts and actions to help you decipher the messages of your body. As well as all the power needed to create change by replacing the negative patterns with more positive and nourishing thoughts.
